Virginia McDonald Obituary

Virginia McDonald, 90, of North Beach, MD passed away on January 28, 2022 in Prince Frederick, MD. On March 26th, 1931 in Washington, DC, Emil and Anna DiToto were blessed with their second daughter. Virginia was raised and educated Catholic. She was a homemaker. Christmas was her favorite time of the year and she celebrated by keeping her tree up and decorating it for all of the holidays. Virginia loved receiving phone calls from all of her children, grandchildren and especially from her brother, Adolph. Her hobbies were coloring, playing bingo and the slots and making crafts at the North Beach Senior Center. Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley were her favorite entertainers and Johnny Seaton was her favorite Elvis impersonator. Virginia loved watching soap operas and old TV shows including The Golden Girls, and the Andy Griffith Show. Virginia also loved sweets, cookies and cakes.  Her favorite being lemon meringue pie.

Virginia leaves to cherish her memories her 10 daughters, Loretta (Michael) Peters, Lucille (Brian) Czechanski, Teresa (David) Jenkins, Anita (Thomas) Camp, Anna McDonald, Judy (Dino) Messineo, Cindy (Darren) Williams, Sharon Thompson, Caroline McDonald, and Lisa McDonald; three sons, Wayne, Ricky (Lisa) and Emil McDonald; her brother, Adolph DiToto, son-in-law, Billy Colbert and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Mc Donald, Sr.; children, Virgie McDonald, Raydale Bruce, Raymond McDonald, Elaine Colbert, James McDonald and Baby McDonald; brothers, Tony, Emil and Edward and Ernest; sister, Caroline Bradford; granddaughters, Akilah Monae Austin and Shenandoah Kearney and grandson, Raymond McDonald, III.

The family would like to especially thank Patricia Carroll, care provider for all of the love and support she gave Virginia, whom she affectionally called, “Ma.”
