Thomas Joseph Tawney, 64, of Lothian died in Annapolis on December 4, 2011. He had lived in Suitland, MD before moving to the southern Maryland area in 2007. He served in the United States Army during the Viet Nam War
as a supply specialist and had been employed as a steamfitter with the U.S.
Government. He enjoyed fishing and visiting with his friends.
He is survived by his nieces, Theresa White and her husband, Michael, of Huntingtown, MD and Kelly Swann and her husband, Jack of Prince Frederick; nephew, Charles Curtin and his wife Markina of Mechanicsville and 13 grand-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services and interment were private.
