Thomas “Tommy” George Camp, Jr., 67, passed away unexpectedly in his home on September 1, 2025, in Lusby, MD. He was born to Thomas and Regina (O’Leary) Camp, Sr. on January 5, 1958, in Cheverly, MD.
Tommy fell in love with his high school sweetheart and married his wife, Anita Carrie (McDonald) Camp. Together, they had two daughters, Susan and Amber. Tommy was a devoted husband for nearly 50 years, a caring father and PopPop to his grandchildren, Kensi and Jayce, and a loyal friend to many. If you were fortunate enough to know him, you knew that he loved you deeply and hard, and never hesitated in a time of need.
Tommy is survived by his daughters, Susan (Christopher) Rimmel and Amber (Clarence) West; grandchildren, Kensi Rimmel and Jayce Rimmel; brothers, Robert Camp and Alfred Camp; sisters, Aline Camp and Patricia (James) Minot; brother-in-law, Steven Voelker; sister-in-law, Lynn Camp; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, Tommy was predeceased in death by his sister, Colleen Camp-Voelker; brother, William Camp; aunts, Patricia Poloncic and Marjorie Keenan; and nephew, Michael Ayers.
The family would like to especially thank care provider, Debra Johnson, for all of the love and support she gave to Tommy, including his late wife Anita, over the last several years.
