Sue Ann (McDonnell) Leser

Sue Ann Leser, 87, of Dunkirk, MD, passed away on November 14, 2020. Sue Ann was born on June 16, 1933 to the late Thomas and Gladys Ricker McDonnell. After being a homemaker for 20 years, Sue Ann returned to the workforce as an Accounting Associate for the University of Maryland and retired from there in 1996. She was a phenomenal seamstress, having made four wedding dresses and 100's of Halloween costumes and Easter outfits. She was a talented quilter and was exceptional at crocheting, always having a baby blanket on hand when someone needed one. She also used her crocheting skills to donate to the Shawl Ministry at Jesus The Good Shepherd. Sue Ann loved the water and enjoyed spending time at the beach with her family.

Sue Ann is survived by her children Vicci (Gary) Barrett of Berkeley Springs, WV, Ginger Leser of Dunkirk, MD, Maureen (Fred) Meyer of Glenn Dale, MD, Rodney (Kendra) Leser, Jr. of Dunkirk, MD, Mark (Cindy Gilbert) Leser of Laurel, MD and Beth (Jeff) Richmond of Sunderland, MD; 10 grandchildren, Connie Strawderman, Danny Gibson, Dennis Gibson, Gary Barrett, Amanda Gibson, Greg Meyer, Eric Meyer, Trey Leser, Christopher Leser and Jessica Leser, 16 great-grandchildren, and her sister, Gladys Harris. In addition to her parents, Sue Ann was predeceased by her husband, Rodney Leser, Sr., daughter, Diane Leser and her three brothers.
