Steven Leslie Carter

Steven Leslie “Steve” Carter, 74, of Huntingtown, MD passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, September 28, 2025. Steve was born on March 12, 1951, the son of the late George and Dorothy Riley Carter.

Steve graduated from Glenelg High School and built Carco Trucking, a dump truck company which he owned and operated for 25 years. Steve was known as a very hard-working man. He was a classic car enthusiast and considered his ’57 Chevy “his baby.”

Steve is survived by his wife of 41 years, Carolyn Trent; sons, Nicholas Rhodes (Tiffany) Carter and Shayne Carter; grandchildren, Brandon Cooley, and Ethan, Matthew, and Catherine Carter; brother, David Carter and sister, Judy Collins. He is also survived by his beloved German Shepherd, Sheena.
