Ruth Weinberger Knapp

Ruth Weinberger Knapp, 91, of Rockville, MD, died in Columbia, MD on August 25, 2013. She was born in Parkersburg, West Virginia on January 24, 1922, the only child of Robert Christian and Louise Conroy Weinberger. She left her home state to seek employment and began a career with the Federal Government, eventually retiring as an administrative assistant. Ruth enjoyed playing bridge, reading, doing needlepoint and travelling.

Ruth is survived by two daughters, Theresa Louise Knapp of Sun City, AZ and Karen Dale Knapp Salem and her husband, Michael Salem of Rockville, MD and two grandchildren, James M. and Daniel L. Salem. Her husband, Daniel C. Knapp, died in 1988.

Funeral services and disposition will be private.
