Rita Gray (Atkinson) Evans

Rita Gray Evans, 90, of Owings, MD passed away in Owings on April 4, 2023. Rita was born in Wilson County, North Carolina to the late Arthur and Betty Scott Atkinson. She had lived in Camp Springs, MD before moving to Calvert County 35 years ago. Rita married Rudolph Evans and the couple had three children, Donnie, Peggy and Nancy. In addition to raising her family, Rita worked as a secretary for a glass company. She enjoyed bowling, gardening, sewing and especially shopping. She truly loved spending time with her family. 

Rita is survived by her grandchildren, Charles, Sr. (Tonya) Ridgeway, Kimberly (Scott) Bricker, Jon (Melissa) Ridgeway and Michelle (Ricky) Riston and great-grandchildren, Charles Ridgeway, Jr., Tristan Ridgeway, Dawson Ridgeway, Sean Bricker and Chase Bricker. Rita was predeceased by her husband, Rudolph, son, Donnie and daughters, Peggy and Nancy Ridgeway.
