Richard Allen "Rick" Magruder

Richard Allen “Rick” Magruder, 70, of Prince Frederick, MD passed away in Prince Frederick on July 5, 2024. Rick was born on May 21, 1954 to Henry Renshaw and Marjorie Adams Magruder. Rick was described by his family as a hard-working man, who loved being a tow truck driver, a career he had for over 40 years. He had most recently been employed by Huntzberry's Import Automotive and, prior to that, he worked for Clark’s towing company.

Rick loved to collect “anything from the 50s, 60s and 70s,” from automobiles to small household items. He enjoyed auctions and “dumpster diving.” Many of his treasures were taken to swap meets where Rick found other memorabilia for his vast collections. Rick is survived by his son, Shane Magruder; a sister, Marianne Gray; close friends, Tonja and Paul Martin, Jr. and John Huntzberry. In addition to his parents, Rick was predeceased by his brother, Robert Francis Magruder, his sister, Colleen Farrell and his father, Jimmie Smith.
