Rachel Joan German

Rachel Joan German, 55, of Lothian died suddenly on September 13, 2011. She was born in Baltimore, MD on April 12, 1956 to the late Guy and Magdalen Heil Lerch. She had lived in the southern Maryland area for the past 10 years and operated her own cleaning service. Her passions included motorcycles, her beloved dogs, crabbing, Court TV, watching Raven’s football and playing hand-held video games.

She is survived by her husband of eight years, William; sons Christopher Wells and wife Paula; Mark Simmons and wife Jessica and Troy Hoffman and wife Jillian; daughters Elizabeth Simmons and partner Rachel Payne; Jennifer Valido and fiancé Willem Coetzee and Olivia Frame and husband Scott; brother, Raymond Lerch and wife Charlotte; sisters, Mary Louise Seltzer; Cathy Pelletier and husband Richard; Violet Stater and husband Charlie and Karen Curry and husband Michael and 15 grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at Raymond-Wood Funeral Home from 9 am. until 10 am. Funeral services will begin at 10 am.
