Obituary

Paul Arnold Colie, 52, of Barstow, MD died at his home on December 10, 2011.  He was born on July 29, 1959 in Bethesda, MD to Wydol and Margaret Arnold Colie. He was a premature “miracle baby,” weighing only one pound, four ounces, and at the time, given little chance for survival.

He served in the United States Navy as a head chef and travelled the world. He was employed as a roofer. His hobbies included gourmet cooking, golfing, crabbing and fishing and vegetable gardening. He was known for his kindness and sociability.

He is survived by his mother, Margaret Colie; former wife, Kay Colie, brothers, Timothy and his wife, Linda; James and his wife Asya; sister-in-law, June Colie; nieces, Claire and Justine and nephews, Brian and his wife Trina, Jacob and his wife Katelin , Blake and llyas: great nieces, Sabrina, Ella and Alexandra and great nephew, Sasha. His father, Wyndol and brother, Dennis predeceased him.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 6, 2012 from 6:30 to 8:30 at Raymond-Wood Funeral Home in Dunkirk. Interment will be private.
