Norma Moran Obituary

Norma M. Moran was born on July 4, 1928, and entered eternal life on September 15, 2025. Norma lived every moment of her 97 years, and will be remembered for her incredible smile that could light up a room, her sharp sense of humor, and that she could never be trusted near the good chocolate. Although, she was always willing to share! Norma was a person who truly believed life was meant to be lived, and took every opportunity she could to have an adventure, be it traveling, family trips to the roller rink or drive-in movies, a walk to get ice cream, going to every thrift store she could find, or buying presents for everyone on QVC or HSN. She truly loved reading, and read more than 14,000 books in her lifetime.

She had a long and successful career as a bookkeeper, only retiring to care for her ailing husband. Nothing ever brought her down and she never gave up on life or the people in her life. There was always a twinkle in her eye that told everyone she met that she was a remarkable person. More than any other accomplishment or attribute, Norma will be remembered for being a warm, loving, and wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She was an incredible and kind person, who raised all of her children to be incredible and kind as well.

Norma and her late husband, Robert V. Moran, began their life together in 1948; she was a devoted and loving wife throughout their long marriage. Together they had eight children, and she is survived by six: John; James (Lisa); Robert (Phyllis); Jacquelyn; Martina (John); and Byrul (Mark). She was preceded in death by Karen and David. Her legacy lives on in her 17 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren, as well as her bother-in-law Bill, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Norma left a mark on every person she met, and the world is better because she was part of it. She will be missed and loved always.
