Michael Allen Shifflett, 58, of Prince Frederick, MD died in Leonardtown on April 4, 2011.
He was born in Prince Frederick on December 22, 1952 to William Shifflett, Sr. and Mary Ellen Buckmaster Shifflett. He lived his entire life in Calvert County. He was a self-employed carpenter who enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his bicycle and lifting weights.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Shifflett of Prince Frederick; son Charles Shifflett and partner Samantha Salzman of Lusby, MD; daughters, Amanda Ortiz and husband Ramon of Vineyard, NJ and Amber Shifflett of Mechanicsville, MD; brothers, William Shifflett, Jr. of Prince Frederick and Donald Shifflett and wife Brenda of Mechanicsville, MD; four grandchildren and many friends. His father, William Shifflett , Sr. predeceased him
Funeral services were held on April 8, 2011 at Raymond-Wood Funeral Home. Rev. Todd Marple, Pastor of Full Gospel Assembly of God Church, officiated. Interment followed at Southern Memorial Gardens. John C. Wood, Jimmy and Ritchie Fowler, Richard Mister and John and Wayne Duley served as pallbearers.
