Margaret Alberta (Garner) Richards

Margaret Alberta Richards, 89, of Lothian, MD passed away in Towson, MD on December 21, 2023. Margaret was born on June 29, 1934, in Upper Marlboro, MD to the late Charles and Mary Moore Garner. She later married Charles Jett. She had been employed as a secretary with the Federal Maritime Commission from which she retired after 20 years of service. Margaret enjoyed sewing as a hobby, especially creating doll clothes.

Margaret is survived by her daughter Elizabeth (Michael Green) Jett of Lothian; sister, Rosetta McCullum of Silver Spring; grandchildren, Christopher Green, Michael Green, Jr. and Margie Benfield and great-grandchildren, Jackson Benfield and Savannah Benfield. In addition to her parents, Margaret was predeceased by her first husband, Charles Jett and daughter, Linda Sue Potter.
