Margaret “Maggie” Lorraine Palmer, 79, of California, MD passed away in Prince Frederick, MD on January 24, 2023, Maggie was born on May 28, 1943 in Seat Pleasant, MD to the late Robert Henry and Virginia Scott Milburn. On April 28, 1962, she married Ralph William Palmer. Maggie graduated Suitland High School and began working, first for C&P Telephone, then the Government Printing Office, followed by Dr. Frawley’s office, Kee Cee Drugs and lastly Chesapeake Drugs, from which she retired in 2013. Maggie enjoyed cooking, doing puzzles, and especially spending time with her grandchildren. She also LOVED to shop on QVC!
Maggie is survived by one son, Ralph William Palmer, Jr. (Pamela) of Huntingtown, MD; three daughters, Karen Lorraine Lawrence of California, MD, Lisa Carol Pumphrey (Gene) of Chesapeake Beach, MD and Amy Jo Palmer (Stefphon) of Glen Burnie, MD; one sister, Sharon Cunningham (Pete) of Huntingtown, MD; seven grandchildren, Kevin Pumphrey of Elkridge, MD, Michael Pumphrey (Brandi) of Chesapeake Beach, MD, Kaitlyn Pumphrey (Lucas) of Chesapeake Beach, MD, Kristin Galemore (Adam) of Owings, MD, J.R. Palmer (Jessica) of Prince Frederick, MD, Brandon Lawrence of Broomes Island, MD, Hayley Whitall (Eric) of St. Leonard, MD and six great-grandchildren, Travis Pumphrey, Jillian, Corinne and Evelyn Galemore, Jaycee Lawrence, and Alaina Palmer. In addition to her parents, Maggie was preceded in death by her sisters, Lori, Aileen, Juanita, Delores, Arvis, Ida, and Bernice.
