Kathyleen Lillian (Baber) Hodges

Kathyleen Lillian Hodges, 86, of Dade City, Florida passed away on December 15, 2015 in La Plata, MD. She was born in Kingsport, TN to the late Silas Lee and Eliza Mae( Compton) Baber. Ms. Hodges had lived in Maryland for about 40 years before moving to Florida, but she travelled frequently to West Virginia for extended visits with her sisters. She was a retired nurse. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her hobbies included thrift store shopping, bingo, gardening and baking, especially her much loved lemon pound cake. Ms. Hodges is survived by her son, Rev. Anthony F. Distefano, III of Charlotte Hall, MD; daughter, Frances Mason and her husband, Jerry of Hughesville, MD; sisters, Sue Smith, Dafney Peters and her husband, Charles and Virginia Hayes and her husband Bill, all of Bluefield, W.VA. and Clara Brummit and her husband, Raymond of Unicoi, TN; six grandchildren and nine great grand-children. In addition to her parents, Ms. Hodges was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Old Paths Baptist Church, 9008 Dangerfield Road, Clinton, MD. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
