Karen Elaine Croce, 72, of North Beach, MD passed away on April 20, 2021 in Annapolis, MD. Karen was born on September 10, 1948 in Marion County, Indiana to the late Albert Sherwood and Ruth Albright Flood. Karen earned her RN at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. She met her husband, Frank, while working in Massachusetts.
Karen made use of her nursing skills in a variety of ways. She started her career in hospital settings, but spent most of her career working at Home Call, a home health agency. In addition, she taught CNA classes at the College of Southern Maryland, OSHA trainings, and briefly worked for hospice. She was last involved in patient care management before retiring. After retirement, Karen continued to volunteer her nursing skills.
Karen is survived by her daughters, Jessica (Charlie) Bly of Owings, MD and Rachael Croce of North Beach; step-daughters, Darlene and Tracy Croce, both of Boston, MA; honorary daughter, Janelle Sugg of Weeki Wachee, FL; sisters, Gwendolyn Moore of Brandywine, MD and Holly Fuller of Augusta, GA; sister-in law, Helen Rodgers of Revere, MA; brother-in-law, Jackie Croce of Arlington, MA; grandchildren, Hailey, Kristina, Kinsley, and Kennedy Croce and Savannah and Sylas Bly and many special nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Karen was predeceased by her husband, Frank Croce and her son Justin Croce.
