Joseph Edward "Pop" Harris

Joseph Edward “Pop” Harris, 82, of Huntingtown, MD passed away on June 5, 2024 in Prince Frederick, MD surrounded by his grandchildren. Joseph was born in Washington, DC to Leroy and Juanita Harris. He married Shirley Harris on August 4, 1958.

Joseph was employed by Pepco as a parts distributor until his retirement. He was an avid Redskins fan and he also enjoyed hunting and fishing, collecting trading cards and spending time with his grandchildren.

Joseph is survived by his grandkids, Crystal (Jr.) Sullivan; Sabrina Hesse; Katrina Jones and Johnny (Jennifer) Jones; great-grandchildren, Alexis, Joey, and Tyler Hesse; Kaitlyn Peeples; Joshua and Nicolas Ramsey; John and Isabella Sullivan; Gannon and Cayden Jones; grand dogs, Hazel and Cash and numerous other family members and friends.

Joseph was predeceased by his parents, Leroy and Juanita Harris; the love of his life, Shirley Harris; daughter, Victoria Harris; brothers, John, Robert and Bernie Harris; sisters, Shirley Tayac, Barbara Harris and Gladys Hunter; granddaughters, Kristin and Kristina Harris and grand dogs, Zuri and Bailey. The following will serve as pallbearers: Jimmy, Richie and Randy Harris; J.R. Sullivan; Tyler Hesse and Joshua Ramsey.
