John Louis Borzi

 Obituary

John Louis Borzi, 91, of Prince Frederick died in Prince Frederick on February 25, 2012. He was born in Washington DC on November 24, 1920 to the late Anthony and Zena Sambataro Borzi. He was working as a truck driver delivering ice before entering the United States Army to serve in World War II. His duties included driving a truck, being a longshoreman and a rifleman. He was stationed in Europe and Alaska.

After being discharged, he worked as a bricklayer and retired to pursue his passions for traveling and camping. He also enjoyed dancing.

He is survived by his niece, Mary Faircloth of Huntingtown and the friends he made in Calvert County. His wife, Rose, predeceased him.

Funeral services were held on March 1, 2012  at Raymond-Wood Funeral Home. Deacon Ed Chrzanowski of St. John Vianney Catholic Church officiared. Interment followed at at Ft. Lincoln Cemetery in Brentwood.
