Janet Annette (Heredia) Cuevas

Janet Annette Acosta Heredia Cuevas, 45, of Dunkirk, Maryland, passed away in Prince Frederick, MD on February 11, 2021. Janet was born on April 2, 1975 in Los Angeles, California to Manuel and Margarita “Maggie” Acosta Heredia. She was a Marine Corps spouse who traveled extensively with her husband until they settled in Dunkirk in 2017.

Janet had been employed as a billing associate with Alarm.com for the past seven years. Janet’s hobbies included arts and crafts, especially embroidery. Her family described her as a devoted wife and mother and a dedicated employee.

Janet is survived by her mother, Margarita “Maggie” Acosta Heredia of Pomona, CA; her husband of 25 years, Gabriel Cuevas; son,  David Ethan Cuevas and daughter, Gabrielle K. Cuevas, both of Dunkirk; sister, Evangelina M. (Rodolfo Cueva) Heredia of Pomona, CA; brothers, Manuel C. (Paula Rafael) Heredia of Ontario, CA and Joshua J. (Janelle Vargas) Heredia of Pomona, CA as well as many loving friends. Her father, Manuel Heredia predeceased her.
