Gloria Jean (Guido) Harris, 77, of Sunderland, MD, transitioned into Heaven at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born on April 18, 1943 in Morgantown, WV to Antonio and Evelyn Sampson Guido. They moved to Washington, DC in 1950 then made their home in Capitol Heights, MD. She was in the first graduating class of Central High School in District Heights. After high school she was employed by the United States Justice Department. She then met and married the love of her life Robert (Bobby) Harris on June 16, 1961. The couple moved to Maryland Park to start their family. Gloria decided to stay home and raise their children. They lived in Landover, MD until they moved to their forever home in Calvert County, Maryland. There she raised her children and even her grandchildren who were the most important people in her life. She definitely was the center of her family dynamics. In her leisure time, she enjoyed traveling, shopping for jewelry, collecting anything Elvis and spending as much time with her family and friends as she could. She loved animals and had many dogs and cats throughout her lifetime. She impacted so many lives on earth. She was a fun-loving, outspoken, feisty Italian woman who loved and lived life to the fullest. Gloria is survived by her daughter, Christine (Russell) King of Sunderland MD; son, James (Elizabeth) Harris of Huntingtown, MD; her grandchildren, Jessica Meador, Richard Harris, Randy Harris, Kelsi Harris, Russell King, II, Brooklyn Hayden and Brayclyn King; great-grandchildren, Ryan and Matthew Meador, Matthew and Kinsley Hayden and Blakley Harris. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Robert Harris, and her brother, Antonio Guido, Jr..
