Frederick Eugene Thompson

Fred Thompson, 83, passed away on September 3, 2022.

Fred was born at the family farm in Addison, New York on November 10, 1938 to Duane and Jane Thompson and he had a very adventurous life.   During his life he lived in New York, California, Alaska, West Virginia and finally Maryland with his youngest daughter. 

Fred owned and operated his own company, Thompson’s Heating and Cooling, in Rancho Cucamonga, California for many years.

Fred was a wonderful man, husband. father, step-father, grandfather, and business owner.   He touched many lives with his kindness, his generosity, good humor, and easy-going nature.  He was always quick to laugh and truly enjoyed his life and all with whom his shared life.  He is so missed. 

Fred was predeceased by two wonderful wives, Joanne Thompson (Wells) to whom he was married 37 years

and Shirley Thompson (Jovin) and two of his children, Frederick Thompson II and Suzan Alverson.

He is survived by his children, Michael Weist (Patricia), Sherry Danna (Larry), Tammie Pranausk, and Kathryn Miller (Jon) and his step children from his second marriage, Pat, David and Bert Jovin and Teresa Rogers as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren whom he completely adored.

He is survived by his brothers and sisters, Joseph (Maria) Thompson of Nevada, Mary Jane Gill, Phillip Thompson, Daniel Thompson, Stephen (Anita) Thompson, John (Jessie) Thompson of New York and Patricia Watts of California.

Fred was predeceased by his brothers and sisters, Kathleen Thompson, Winifred Thompson, David Thompson, Helen Cronin Richards, and Jim Thompson
