Florence Elizabeth (Williams) McKoy

Florence Elizabeth “Beth” McKoy passed away on August 6, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones, after a courageous year and a half battle with cancer.

Beth was born on March 1, 1963 in Portsmouth, VA. In her younger days, Beth was active in Job’s Daughters, being a past Honor Queen in 1984. Later, she enjoyed working with Tall Cedars to raise money for muscular dystrophy. Beth spent 18 years of her career working at Sita Tile Distributors. She left there in 2021 to be closer to home and started working for a local flooring company in Southern Maryland. She loved spending time with her family and friends, scrapbooking as well as reading Danielle Steele novels.

 Beth is survived by her daughters, Katherine Hempling (Mike) of Mechanicsville, Maryland, Valerie Reumont (Eric) of Huntingtown, Maryland, and Jennifer McKoy (Seth); seven grandchildren- Juli McKoy, Kimberly Mumper, James Mumper, Riley Hempling, Michael Hempling, Jr., Camden Reumont, and Olivia Reumont, as well as another granddaughter arriving later this year. She is also survived by her brothers, Tom Williams (Christina), Ed Williams, and John Williams. Beth was predeceased by her husband, Paul McKoy, parents, June and James Williams, and sister Rena Randall.
