Dontae Jerome "Cheeky" Cook, Sr.

Dontae Jerome Cook, Sr. 36, of Lexington Park, MD passed away in Lexington Park on March 21, 2021, Dontae was born on January 6, 1985 in Prince Frederick, MD to Maurice Cooke and Barbara Smith. Dontae had been employed as a carpenter. His hobbies included watching basketball, especially if the Wizards were winning, and going fishing. HIs family lovingly described him as a "pretty boy" who was very concerned about fashion and his appearance and they also said that Dontae "thought he could dance," 

Dontae is survived by his mother, Barbara (Joseph) Douglas of Lexington Park, MD; his father, Maurice Cooke of Cobb County, GA; daughter, Amya La Course of Bladensburg, MD; son, Dontae Cooke, Jr. of Lexington Park, MD; brothers, Lavar Sherbert and Tyrell Douglas, both of Lexington Park, MD; sister, Dominique Mitchell of Rome, GA, former wife, Marcieta Curtis of Lexington Park, MD; brother-in-law, Shelton Curtis of Lexington Park, MD; father and mother-in-law,  Wyndel and Deborah Curtis of Lexington Park; Godsister, Brittany Mackall of Lexington Park, MD and numerous other loving family members. Dontae was predeceased by his maternal grandparents. Kingsley and Martina Smith.
