Danny Lyn Simpson

Danny Lyn Simpson, 65, of Dunkirk, MD passed away in Prince Frederick, MD on July 31, 2020. Danny was born in Cheverly, MD on May 15, 1955 to the late Thomas Rawley and Reba Bell Caldwell Simpson. He had lived in Calvert County for the past 20 years. Danny was a mason and he had worked in his trade for over 30 years. When not hard at work, he could be found enjoying a Coors Light and cheering on The Washington Redskins, The Baltimore Orioles or his favorite driver during a NASCAR race. Danny is survived by his son, Daniel (Michelle) Simpson of Catonsville, MD; daughter, Renee (Spiros) Maroulis of Dunkirk; former wife and best friend, Karen Simpson Hargrove; brothers, Roger (Faith) Simpson of Maryland, Dewayne (Kathy) Simpson of MD; sisters, Shirley (David) Hankins of VA, Pat Henard of MD, Karen (Donnie) Payne of TN and Cathy Keys of MD; grandchildren, Anthony, Samantha, Madelyn, Christopher, Spiros, Jr. and Gabriella and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Danny was predeceased by his sister, Cindy Testerman.
