Bobbi Jo Bowen

Bobbi Jo Bowen, 34, of La Plata, MD (formerly of Lusby, MD) passed away on August 3, 2016. Bobbi was born on April 7, 1982 to Danny Eugene and Betsy Ann Bowen. Her family had lived in Laurel, MD before moving to Calvert County when Bobbi was about six years old. Bobbi was a homemaker who had enjoyed horseback riding, dancing, music, swimming and, most of all, being with friends and family. She is survived by her mother, Betsy Fullerton and her husband, Harry of Lusby; father, Danny Bowen and his wife, Jean of Baltimore; daughter, Torie Marie Alexander of Owings, MD; brothers, Ricky Johnson and Shane Gionest, both of Florida; sisters, Deborah Johnson, Lorrie Johnson and Jody Gionest, all of West Virginia and Billie Jo Shifflett of Lusby; paternal grandmother, Shirley Bowen of Elkridge, MD and many others who loved her. Her maternal grandfather, Harry Tyler and brother, Edward Mario Gionest predeceased her. Rev. Phil Van Wart will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
