Arthur Singleton was born the second son of the late Freddie and the Arnella Stepney Singleton on February 7, 1959 in Washington, DC. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Gregory Singleton. He departed this earthly life on Friday, February 26, 2021. Arthur was educated in the Washington, DC Public School System and graduated from Chamberlain Vocational High School. He also attended Everest College where he obtained a medical assistant certification. As a result, he worked at several different assisted living facilities and provided care for many, including some family members. Arthur also worked in the family cleaning business. During his childhood, Arthur was an active member at St Paul Christian Community Church in northeast Washington. He sang with the St. Paul Cleverettes and was a member of numerous youth organizations in the church. He also was a deacon in training. Arthur later attended Victory Christian Ministries International Church in Hillcrest Heights, MD. Arthur loved to go to church, play bingo, listen to his greatest hits, cook and watch movies. He was an avid Redskins fan and enjoyed being surrounded by genuine people, He was a friend to all and would do all he could to help anyone and everyone he knew. Arthur leaves the following to cherish his most precious memories his father, Spencer Stepney; his loving and devoted companion Gloria McMillan of 12 years; two "bonus" daughters Makeisha McMillan Chavis (Samuel) and Lakeisha McMillan; two Godchildren Déjà McMillan and Deandre McMillan Jr.; two best friends Sean and Richard Cox; two brothers Eugene Singleton(Anika) and Spencer Larry Stepney; nephews and nieces Eugene (Kiarra) Singleton Jr. Chiquita Stepney, Erica Singleton, Darawin Holland, Tyrell Singleton, Lamar Bowen, and Ariana Singleton, and a host of great nephews, nieces and friends.
