Normua Wallace Obituary

Conrad Wallace was born May 9, 1959 to Russellene Gray Wallace and Edward Wallace. He was delivered by a midwife, Rachel Gray and was one of 11 siblings. He departed from this life on February 23, 2024. Conrad was the faithful husband of one wife, Dorethea Claggett and the devoted and loving father of one son, Delonte and two grandsons, Liam and Makai Wallace.

Conrad was formally educated in the public schools of Calvert County. He attended Mt. Hope Elementary, Calvert Middle School and Northern High School. Conrad was the guy that loved his music and loved to dance. He had an affection for muscle cars, always wanting to get the keys to his brother and brother-in-law's cars to take them for a spin (literally). He loved hot rods, classic cars and going to the race track. He loved hanging out with his brother-in-law Clyde, going out for breakfast and chilling with his brothers- in-law, Mac and Ellis at car shows and church picnics. He cherished his two grandsons and hanging out with them at the playground. But his favorite was sitting around with his sister-in-law Myra and niece Nicole eating crabs and listening to Motown on the radio.

He was just a fun guy to chill with and his family was everything to him. We can’t leave out that he loved to watch football and his favorite team was the Washington Redskins (Commanders). Conrad had lots of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. But three special ladies would call him every day, Nicole Adams, Nikida Claggett and Crystal Claggett. These were his special girls. Conrad and Dorethea dated for 10 years before getting married on September 23, 1987. And they were still in love until the day he closed his eyes for the last time when God called him home. When he left a large part of our hearts left with him. Missing you the love of my life.

Conrad worked for Sherman Mason Construction in Dunkirk, Maryland for more than 20 years until his health began to fail. Conrad was preceded in death by his mother Russellene Gray Wallace, father Edward Wallace and his sister Carolyn Miller. Conrad leaves to cherish his memory and carry on his legacy  his wife, Dorethea Wallace; son Delonte Wallace; two grandchildren,  Liam and Makai Wallace; sisters, Paulette Sutton (Larry), Ringgold Clayton, Joyce Clark (Eddie), Amy Holland (Bishop Robert Holland), Endora Clayton (Tony Woodard); brothers, Earl Gray (Debra), Galand Wallace (Jean), Charles Wallace and Anthony Wallace; sisters-in-law; Myra Adams (Edward), Betty Claggett, Ilene Hurley (Melvin), Sharon Morsell, Delphine Brown (Eldrick), Jean Claggett, ShaRon Morsell, Edna Gray, Sadie Dickerson (Luke) and Doris Rice; brothers-in-law, Alfred Claggett, Louis Claggett (Charlene), McAlwain Claggett (Christine), Clyde Claggett (Cynthia), Ellis Claggett (Dawn), Frankie Claggett (Desheia), Timothy Claggett (Marsha), Kelvin Claggett, Thurston Claggett (Inez) and Marvin Claggett; special niece, Nicole Adams and a host of other nieces, nephews, friends and associates.
