Maria Elana Lacayo

Maria Elena Lacayo was born on August 13th, 1951, in Managua, Nicaragua. She was daughter of Jesus Ramirez and Olga Marie Saballos. She was the middle child with two brothers. Maria was married for twenty years to Carlos Lacayo, who also was from Managua, Nicaragua. From that union, three beautiful sons were a result, Steve Lacayo, Erik Lacayo and Carlos Lacayo, Jr.

Ms. Maria was the proud grandmother of Alyssa Lacayo, Brianna Lacayo, Christian Kenneth Lacayo, Erik Lacayo Barbarbena, Christian Lacayo Barbarbena, Dianna Lacayo, Kimberly Lacayo, Eduard Lacayo, Caroline Lacayo, Christopher Martinez, twins Cameron Lacayo & Carlos Lacayo III, Carlos Lacayo IV, and great-grandson Josiah Lacayo. Maria loved her family dearly. She also loved nature, taking walks, dancing and loved to travel. She will be missed by many.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 2:00 pm at St Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, 3305 Glen Carlyn Rd., Falls Church, VA, 22041. Viewing will follow from 4:00-5:00 pm at the Expectation Church, 11924 Braddock Rd., Fairfax, VA. Please deliver all floral arrangements to Expectation Church prior to 3:30pm on January 12, 2024
