Charles Stanley Adams, Jr.

Charles Stanley Adams, Jr., 75, of Chesapeake Beach, MD passed away in Chesapeake Beach on December 29, 2023. Charles was born in Cheverly, MD on June 4, 1948 to the late Charles Stanley Adams, Sr. and Margaret Catherine Beckham Adams. He graduated from Bladensburg High School in 1966. He served proudly in the United States Navy for four years aboard the USS Aircraft Carrier Shangri-La, during the Vietnam War. Charles married Margaret Jean Blackmon and moved to Calvert County 36 years ago.

Charles had been employed as a welder for Aluma Systems in Dundalk, from which he retired after 25 years. Charles also worked for over 25 years on the event crew for the Washington Capitals. He loved all sports, especially his Washington teams, the Redskins and the Capitals. Charles participated in and enjoyed many hobbies and interests. He was a former member of Gold Wing Road Riders Association and of the American Legion, Post 206 in Chesapeake Beach. He loved riding and tinkering with motorcycles; guns, hunting and fishing and his beloved dogs.

Charles is survived by his wife of 41 years, Margaret Jean Adams; daughters, Cassie Adams-Leonard (Jay); Cathleen Presley (Ron); sister, Catherine Pruitt; six grandchildren, Hailey, Lily, Sean, Nicole, Brittany, and Christopher and six great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one daughter, Christine Kiger.
