Carol Lyn (Crowley) Ortman

Carol Lyn Ortman (Crowley), 58, of Charles County, Maryland, passed away peacefully in her family home in Churchton, Maryland on March 20, 2024. Carol was born October 28, 1965 in Washington, DC and graduated from Friendly High School in Fort Washington, Maryland. She worked as a paralegal for Fannie Mae Mortgage Association for most of her adult career and later became disabled due to a neck injury and illnesses.

Carol is survived by her father, John Crowley; her brother, Donnie Crowley; sister, Sheri Crowley; daughters, Kimberlie Bright, Kellie Palmer, and eight grandchildren, Isaiah, Savannah, Noah, Levi, Jeremiah, Jasiah, Leah, and Kinley. Her grandchildren meant the entire world to her. They say Maw-maw is now their "angel". Carol was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy (Dottie) Crowley; brother, Ronnie Crowley and ex-husband, Ramon (Donny) Ortman.

She was no stranger to a good time and touched many hearts in so many different ways with her outgoing spirit. If she didn't like something she wouldn't bite her tongue. Some of the things she loved were pigs, the color pink, being present even if she weren't able, giving the shirt off her back, eating crabs, the beach, playing slots, coca cola soda, the Redskins Football Team and rock & roll music. Her memory will live on forever and she will truly be missed by many.
